Can I run it (Starfield)?
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7600K CPU @ 3.80GHz
Video Card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050
Operating System Windows 10
RAM 32 GB

I did find a thread that tells how to play with my specs BUT I would like to hear players thoughts from in-game experience.

I think the main problem is I think you only have a 4 core CPU . I think 6 cores would be minimum , but I personally would not play it without at least 8 cores .

I found this on the web :

This Intel CPU has 4 cores, 4 threads and runs at a clock speed of 3.8 GHz. PCGameBenchmark rates processors by how many of the top 1,000 PC games the chip can run. This Intel CPU can run 916 of the top 1000 games - so we give it a 91% rating.

It is a good CPU , but is 6 years old now , but I think you will have issues playing starfield .

Id be more concerned about the GPU, the 3050 isn't a great card

a Mix of Low/Med or a little higher would be likely
But id wait to buy it after it got some performance updates to be safe.

Or just buy it, try it, refund it before 2 hours play time if it doesnt run well at different settings.

Other main thing is to make sure you have an SSD, otherwise the other specs will be the least of your problems.

Bout all you can do.

I run a i5-4590 @ 3.30 GHz, a GTX 970 and 16 GB RAM, and I can play it on High (with both Shadows settings on Low) and it's pretty solid. Some crashes especially when aiming during combat or excessive explosions, and some occasional microfreezing when moving too fast, but all in all quite acceptable considering the age of the hardware.

The GPU would be the main concern.
I am playing this game with an i7-4790K CPU, RTX 3060Ti and 16GB DDR3 RAM.
Runs perfectly fine on medium settings.

I mean, it's a lot better then when the PC came with (GeForce GTX 1050 2gb). I only upgraded to what I was able to spend.

Still using an HDD, haven't had an issues with any games i play. I do plan on upgrading it whenever I get the money.

Don't forget to install the game on an SSD.

Game is pretty CPU-heavy, so a 6 core CPU is the minimum, but you may as well try (with gamepass for a small fee).

Unless you want to wait a few minutes for loading screens and assets to load, wait till you get an SSD.

as others have said, the CPU is old and lower end than the game would like, but the SSD is the most important part, upgrading the CPU on your own is tricky and can be costly, but putting in an SSD is easier, if its an NVMe SSD, beats me, I've only installed 2 in my life time. GPU is still good though, that's be expensive to upgrade.

You'd be better off waiting 9 months to a year out. Modding will officially be around long enough (with the Creation Kit in early 2024) to give a decent selection of things to add/fix. And you'll probably be able to get the game on sale then.
RubbaKeys16k Sep 26, 2023 @ 9:43pm
Steam has a two hour refund window so why not try it but make sure you don’t spend 2 hours in the character creator. Make sure you get to somewhere populous like New Atlantis and see what you think of that.

Honestly fair to me, kinda early to start it, best wait until modding takes off, by then most of the worst issues will likely be fixed by then. and HDD support might be more feasible, though nexusmods has some mods for HDD support if need be.

You REALLY need a SSD or you'll just end looking at loading screens :-/

Other specs are "ok" to run on LOW settings. But i'd wait till they implement DLSS.
