The script extender was broken by the new patch. Fix

The patch today broke the script extender. It should be fixed in a day or so. To continue playing in the meantime with your saves which use mods:

Go to the Nexus page for the Starfield Script Extender. In the posts is a complete and simple explanation on how to roll back starfield.exe to the previous version using the Steam console.

Also, check Starfield in your library under properties to make sure that you have it set to update only when you launch the game. Starting via the script extender is not considered a launch by steam or by the main starfield.exe, so it won't automatically update whenever a patch appears and you open Steam. This way you can continue playing as normal until the affected mods are patched and then download a Starfield patch.
