Not really, i have that driver since 3 days and my game work fine as allways. It must be something else or maybe the driver installations missed something. You can try install them again.

Actually Nvidia drivers, overall, have been worse than AMD/ATI drivers ever were.

I know you didn't know this, because all your fave big tech youtubers never told you.

And i say this as someone currently using a 3090. I actually have two 3090's.

for me it took forever to load the first time after updating drivers.

Can you give me an idea how long? Pretty sure my pc has just stopped actually working...

When updating drivers STARFIELD will do the whole loading shaders process again just like when you first played the game so it may take like five or more minutes to start but after that load times at start up are back to normal.

Also Bethesda just released a big patch update today so that may fix things up.

This new AMD driver was a total disaster, it's negatively affected so many games and applications for me it's mindboggling

Well if nothing is responding that is probably the case, took a good 5 min of sitting on the desktop to load after the most recent driver update. Everything still worked it was just stuck at the desktop for ~5 min and felt like it wasn't loading.

Had zero issues with new drivers and this game.

The slow load afterwards is same for games like elite after any driver update, needs to rebuild the shaders cache, will take few mins at most.

When in doubt, scrub and try a fresh install of new drivers.

have a look at both links, a bit different, but it's the same in general, for AMD and NVIDIA:

I would recommend 23.8.2 or 23.9.2 driver. 23.9.1 introduced an issue with adrenaline. 23.9.2 may have fixed it and it is the driver I am using.
