Possible fix/tweak for CTD (crash to desktop)
Was just reading the system log, and found that windows timout crashed the game, due to "waiting for the driver" (new in windows 10/11 is that there is a program timout, and it will auto crash it to preserve stability.

Anyway the warning would be yellow and could be saying something like: Display driver xxxxxx stopped responding and has successfully recovered

Possible fix and how to make the fix https://helpx.adobe.com/substance-3d-painter/technical-support/technical-issues/gpu-issues/gpu-drivers-crash-with-long-computations-tdr-crash.html
Remember to reboot after and try.

Second after trying allot of fixes and workarounds:
The above delays the crash, but you can end up hard crashing when it does.
For AMD this have made me go from constant variable CTD, to zero CTD, tested over several days now: Disable 2 services!

The changes : disabling 2 AMD Services in Windows

- The AMD Crash Defender service

- The AMD External Events Utility

If works, great!

Time to give this a try. If I do not return, thanks for the tip. Tell my children I died well...

Can I suggest, if able, a fresh Windows reinstallation?

If able, it completely solved my CTD issues. I reinstalled Windows 11, did not enter wifi drivers, and I used a OOBE command in the cmd console to enable starting windows without an internet connection so that Win Update can't download it's own drivers, and then I installed the newest copies of every necessary driver I had saved to a usb stick prior. Only THEN, did I install my Wifi drivers and updated windows.
- And all my CTD problems vanished.
