"Next-gen" Starfield compared to 5 years old RDR2
Todd Howard about Starfield: "It is a next-gen PC game. We really do push the technology, so you may need to upgrade your PC for this game, but it's got a lot of great stuff going on in it, and the fans are responding awesomely.”

Let me see.

RDR2, 5 years old game vs "next gen" Starfield
- much better and prettier graphics
- runs smoothly even on old PC systems, while Starfield requires NASA computer to run
- no loading screens at all
- real open world game, not procedurally generated unrelated fish bowls
- real maps, roads, towns, POIs
- 100x better story and dialogue
- incomparably better immersion
- you can swim in water, catch fish, and even drive boats
- no female boss women everywhere
- no Woke stuff

I guess the only thing that makes Starfield a "next gen game" are the boss women, forced gay dialogues and other Woke stuff. Other then that, Starfield seems like an old game from 2010 or something.

BTW after 60 hours in Starfield I'm shocked how bad, dry and generic that game is. Some people hope it will better for a few years with mods and DLCs, but let me tell you, no amount of mods can save that train wreck game. It is so bad I unistalled it permanently and I am currently playing RDR2 again.

I also unsuscribed from all YouTube channels and blocked all Twitter profiles that gave Starfield a positive review. Starfield is a 2/10 game.

RDR2 is nothing but a masterpiece. Starfield is not playing in the same league. no Bethesda game is better than RDR2 period.

but does it make Starfield a bad game? nope, it's just not on RDR2 level of quality.

Fact: I know people in real life who were told by angry social media misogynists to not buy RDR2 because it was 'woke'.
Fact: I can find posts online where people complained at the time that it was 'woke'.
Fact: The term 'woke' is about provoking moral outrage now, regardless or facts or evidence.

Conclusion: The next Bethesda game to come it will cause you to post how "Bethesda's new game is woke... Starfield wasn't anywhere near as woke..." You just want to churn up anger at society for not conforming to your own narrow views.

Entirely different scopes.
Entirely different genres.

5x longer story, with 95 story quests compared to Starfield. Think about it.

Ah, a lifetime member of Snowflakes-R-Us has opened a new topic, the same as the other topics from the members of Snowflakes-R-Us.

comparing rdr2 to any other game is unfair and you know it. rockstar has better tech, better crew, bigger budget and not just bigger, if rockstar's budget is the sun bethesda's budget is pluto. of course todd will try to make it look like better than it is, he is trying to sell it but starfield is not a bad game. it might be disappointing to some people but it is a great game. and most of the people knew what they are about to buy, i mean loading screens.

beside that, rdr 2's story is not better than starfield or any other bethesda game because it can't. because starfield doesn't give you just 1 story, it gives you much more than that. in rdr2 you witness the struggle of a gang and it was the same old betrayal story of rockstar. nothing new, rdr2 was a great game thanks to it's details and open world. as you can see it is your opinion, not a valid argument.

female boss thing is not new in bethesda, if you don't know it, it is your problem.

if you are to criticize a game, do it without comparing to greatest studio's works.

Are the finances that Rockstar has access to really an order of magnitude higher? I thought Skyrim sold pretty well.

RDR2 budget 540 million. Starfield bidget 400 million (including marketing).

It also took 8 years development. An extra year compared to RDR2 7 year development.

Halo: Infinite budget 500 million.

Microsoft games have big budgets too.

It's different now. Bethesda sort of gave them vulnerabilities in the past. Like Dr Li in Fallout 3. That means you could sort of laugh at their tryhard BS. Not now. It's serious business now.

gta 5 sold 185000000 since release
skyrim sold 60000000 sincre release

i don't use dollar to buy games but as i know gta 5 isn't cheaper than skyrim.

Now every female is nearly perfect with zero flaws.

Even 7 year old Cora is supposedly getting ready for university.

Not sure if the writers at Bethesda realise. But 97% of Engineers, technicians, etc are men. For a reason.

i am sorry, i didn't play fallout too much but i can give you some examples on skyrim. also most of the factions in starfield ruled by men, not women. in skyrim astrid, delphine, elisif, laila, idgrod, maven black briar, mirabelle ervine, karliah, legate rikke were very important characters on very important ranks. i meant this, nothing else.

INB4 people say that they have x hours and it's fun, the biggest argument around here-

this game is garbage compared to the top played Steam game glorious counter-strike (made in 2000), with 10x more players at all times. People can't stop playing it for years. Can't stop having fun replaying similar 2-3 min long crossfires. :smilekit:

It's been a while since I've played RDR2, so I'm certainly missing some stuff, but let me see.

- POC in the posse
- Killing KKK members
- PC acts actively against slavers
- The game generally criticizes capitalism, expansionism, racism, treatment and displacement of native people...

No, no woke stuff at all.
