Will DLSS really improve frame rate for us Nvidia users? Hoping
On their website they say it can improve framerates up to 75% that is pretty amazing. My GTX 3060 card runs cyberpunk 2077 on high settings no problem but Starfield I've got a mix of High/Med settings and some things turned off... still running bit choppy with lag?? My processor and Ram is way above recommended so bottle neck has to be my video card. Wondering if DLSS is going to help once they get it instituted?? Anyone really familier with it?

DLSS 3.5 Frame generation is the one that brings fps from 50 to 140 but you need a rtx 40x card for it. Regular DLSS isn't as good

Yes it will help.

You can try it now with a simple mod that adds it in early.

The real implementation will likely be custom fit, and a little better, but no reason not benefit from RTX capabilities

But like above person said, 40 series frame gen is the game changer.

DLSS is similar to FSR2 which is in the game now, only DLSS has a clearer image quality

Even if I get another 10 frames per second that might make a big difference.

It helped with The Witcher 3 Next Gen update for me with my RTX 3060ti OC. I tried FSR and DLSS. DLSS was better not only in performance, but also visually. FSR the images where not as sharp as when using DLSS.

nah don't believe the nonsense keep using FSR2
if DLSS was working they already made that option.

DLSS increases FPS by a larger margin then AMD's FSR. And looks better.

With DLSS frame gen I get 120 fps.

With FSR I get 70

I haven't tried standard DLSS on my new card in SF yet

right, DLSS already say it right!.
Deep learning super sampling you think adding a DLL to a game file somehow magic start working?.

yes the game projects a lower resolution than what is displayed, then they upscale it with post processing - lower resolution means better fps
but dont expect miracles, most games dont see a huge difference from what ive seen

They are adding it because the majority of players using a RTX card, know it is better than FSR for them. Beth said.." due to player requests...we are adding DLSS support...".

Yes I do .

In 2018 or wtvr when I got my first RTX card a 2080ti I called DLSS a magic button.

Frame Gen has turned that hyperbole into a reality.

It added a very noticeable improvement difference for me in The Witcher 3. Tell will tell if it does in Starfield.

so modders have Nvdia Super AI computers at there disposal?
next patch SF get a offical DLSS support that's made by AI.

the 2000x series do not even support Frame Gen dude. only DLSS 2.0 on those cards.

Bro DLSS is just a DLL in every game

The actual functionality of it comes from the Nvidia Driver itself interfacing with DirectX, the graphics API that powers starfield (and most games )

That's why it was so easy to add with a modd.

DLSS isn't something they have to develope specifically.

In order to use the mod you have to download the DLSS DLL from the Nvidia website.
