Is there a way to profitably sell the planet data as you did with the story?

As far as I have seen all money-making opportunities stay the same.

Personally I have never found surveying to be worth my time. You can spend a very long time looking for that last bird or small creature, and only get a couple of thousands for the whole data. Meanwhile looting a POI including the enemies can net you so much that you can drain all the 11k-vendors and still have stuff left over that you need to sell somewhere else.

What is PO

In the story part, the data was bought for good money by Vladimir.

I used to enjoy making money this way, now after skipping the story in NG+ this option is missing and I only get about a measly 12% of the total price

If in NG+ Vladimir has been killed by your evil twin or some such you can sell them to the trade authority for about half what Vladimir was giving you.

Thanks, my Vladimir is alive, but I miss the possibility of selling

It seems that if you choose not to do the main missions again, in New Game+, then Vladimir doesn't get the dialogue option to sell planet surveys to him. I am thinking this is an oversight on BGS's part and will hopefully be addressed, or, most likely, be in the first community patch as we know how bad BGS is with follow up.
