The fact is it feels way to forced. Jobs that are mainly dominated by men all of a sudden have female leaders…even for ship companies which is utterly laughable. I get the whole wanting to include females but this is something different this feels like a “let’s promote female empowerment and boss ♥♥♥♥♥ vibes” and it’s just way to obvious it takes away from the immersion. Why do we have so much male sidekicks/secretaries and then female with the feminist look female as the head?

The joke about this is, if you have to force them into it chances are it’s cause they haven’t been able to do it on their own merit. So even with the shoehorning it still speaks to the fact they have to be given those positions versuses working for it so saying indirectly they really can’t compete.

Last I checked especially for engineering males dominated…but hey we all know companies have to push their given agendas.

The female domination exists on social media, people paroting what others said without ever touching the game.

It is like when people loose their marbles over an optional option to change your pronouns. You are never even required to set them, yet people loose their ♥♥♥♥ about it being "front and center" when you actually have to go out of your way to change it.

Same with the whole "no white people" nonsense, and this whole "female leader" myth.

At best i can imagine you come to this conclusion is if you only play the Main Mission where you have Lin being in charge. Then Sarah being in charge of Constellation and later you get to the Nissin (? probably misremembering that wrong) Research station, where you have an almost female lead staff of the facility. Female director, the wife/sister of the Security Chief and the Doctor.

Depending on your choices the Emissary might also be female.

And yet i haven't been ordered around. I played over 150 hours of the game on Gamespass. Did multiple side quests and whatnot, and not even Constellation orders you around.

I've been the most reluctant hero i could be. Telling them that i got better things to do at every opportunity and going off do my own stuff.. and at no point i have been given any sort of orders. At every point it was me being in charge. Me making the decisions and me driving the plot.

And if it wasn't for this Forum i wouldn't even have been aware of the fact that some people seem to have an issue with skin color and gender distribution in the game... because I never even noticed anything off.

Yes, its a diverse cast, but at no point did i feel someone over or under represented. The very fact that this is an issue to some is beyond me and only leads me to assume they never played the game.

the whole story line for the game doesn't matter, doesn't matter that it reflects what happened in their own country during both world wars. in the game there was a recent war and a lot of deaths, it's explained and it is far more common, just like on both world wars... it decimated the male population. women took over a LOT of male positions back home in many countries, including making munitions, building planes, tanks etc and even flying those planes to england for wwII. entire countries didn't stop farming, making products, or doing business, putting things on hold till the wars ended, women did those jobs. sure, not all women can go toe to toe with men for strength, but in the game, actually pay attention to the suits and the mods... they're freakin augmented, so body strength is less of a factor. women are just as smart as men and can be just as cutthroat, so yeah they can do business as well. one of the most feared russian snipers in wwII was a teen-aged girl. one of the best spies was a woman who only had one leg. historically, some of the best monarchs in the world have been women... but nope, it's all woke and american politics with hurt male egos.
