Also another annoying resource to obtain is Titanium.
It'll pile up fast if you buy it whenever you walk through a commercial area. Same with almost all of the other, similar organic resources (lubricant, adhesive, etc). The only one I ever had trouble finding in a shop was 'High Tensile Spidron' (or something to that effect) which was easiest to grab from a specific type of plant. Almost everything else though - easy to find in shops.
Also true of resources like Titanium, incidentally. I bought almost everything I needed for weapon and armor research/crafting from various shops. Any place that carries it has a good chance of having anywhere between 10 and 30 of them available for cheap.
