ANY quest that unlocks ship parts???????

Quests for ships, but no parts. It would have been nice to have one or two for parts.

Joining the Vanguard opens up Vanguard parts, although not many. Another advantage is being able to level your Piloting skill in the ship combat simulator, without risking your current ship, and other ship-related Tech skills that unlock higher ship-classes, parts, and other extras.

I have 3 special parts that give faster shield recharge, em resistance,faster lock on and less cost for it. Think they all came from the crimson fleet quest line.

Vanguard quest line opens up new parts, after just a few missions.

Yeah, some of the best parts as well; at least at low level.

Except it doesnt unlock many parts like reactors which are tied to levels. Which I find very annoying.

That is a fair point but that isn't the author's fault without the creation kit it's a decent job.

People who say vanguard are right. Also if you steal a ship you might get a rare part that is unlocked in some way. I got a ship I used to build another ship with a shielded cargo hold. Started out a C fleet puddle jumper, now it's a dreadnought.

I think Freestar rangers is likely to have a few parts, but I haven't hit it yet.

I tried to build an exact scale replica of Serenity. it can't be done it ends up way way over sized and there's no way to interact with the reactor at all. the closest you can come is to surround it with engineering habs and sick windows on them so it's kinda sorta visible when you're in the hab. I hope somebody makes a mod that adds a popper engineering bay with exposed reactor that you can work on and assign an engineer to maintaining.

I mean how cool would it be to see Wendelstein 7-X in starfield?
