I don't care how good the Mantis armor is statwise though. I'll never be caught wearing that awful onesie.
guns have 4 tiers or levels of quality base, refined, calibrated and advanced
so you can easily have a Legendary gun with low stats compared to a normal Advanced Beowolf for example (then guns with a third prefix is about the mods installed)
ive no idea about armor yet, i only just got that all unlocked and havent actually gone thru the modding yet
I picked up Mark 1 armor in the first hour and it is both one of the strongest and best looking sets out there.
Nothing I found in 70 hours of play can match it.
You can luckily add whatever modifiers you want with it using the console.
Almost all armor designs are far too bulky or just goofy for my liking.
It's one aspect where they their Nasapunk aesthetic failed imo.
The starborn sets are an exception but then they made the baffling decision to not separate the pieces on those.
Meaning it's pretty pointless to use when compared to regular amor with top mods.
Can't wait for mods on that.
I didn't think so. That's why Legendary are better because you CAN upgrade the protection via the workbench.
Mines on a mannequin in my base. I use...

And only really because it has camo on it, i have armour that is 160 dr.. but dont use it, it makes me almost immune to damage. Which is a good thing fighting lv 60+ terrormorphs.. kinda op for most pirates.
The 4 levels of quality I have found thus far are Regular,Advanced,Refined and superior. In that order, Calibrated is a word they use to indicate weapon mods.
The armor is armor plated (10% less all dmg,) and + 20 cary capacity
the helm has 50% less weapon weight, amazing for looting enemy outposts, and resources weight 25% less. not amazing but still decent.
the pack has -25% Oxygen usage, and +40 carry weight.
the 3rd stat on all 3 pieces isnt amazing, but as you can see each piece rolled with 2 pretty solid perks on them. Makes it really hard to replace that for anything.
