I guess you could have a plot line about getting an artefact from a derelict ship before it goes into a black hole.
Yeah that would be cool. Forget I said anything, you’re right - where are the black holes?!
We were promised space exploration, nobody promised us a space sim, the border between RPG excuse on jpeg planets and space sim is an advanced physics which exists in games like Elite: Dangerous. Earning a penny for influencers of this title must be hard.
For example, MWII skins are too kitschy nowdays and Saints Row is too messy nowdays: balance is the key, and I think Starfield is a little bit unbalanced
Feeling kind of weird being notified on black holes, something is just off in that definition of a space object/body.
Indisposed
In disguises no one knows
Hides the face
Lies the snake
And the sun in my disgrace...
Song of the year, 1994.

Sadly yeah, though it is the closest confirmed black hole. There is a high probability that one is much closer, possibly within 50ly. Due to the nature of black holes they are impossibly hard to detect.
There is an exceedingly low probability, not a high probability. A black hole that close would be detected because of its interaction with interstellar particles. And it would also have an easily distinguishable gravitational lensing effect that could be seen by any large telescope pointing in its direction.
