What's the fastest way to get ammo for your weapons?
I like this game, it feels really good playing at 1080p on XBox, and if I find a way to make it display on my laptop - maybe via remote play - it would be stunnig for me.
Gameplay-wise I'm not doing so well, I run out of ammo pretty soon after game start and some combat. Where can you resupply your ammo, can you craft it?
What are you doing to get ammo fast, I have picked-up interesting weapons but I don't have the ammo for it.

Thanks!

Just buy ammo at your local shops... that's what I do.

You can buy it. And you'll find a lot from boxes and on enemies you kill. But if you're using an automatic weapon, you're going to have to spend a significant percentage of your credits buying ammo. Over time, you'll find all of the ammo types as you loot boxes and corpses. Ammo has no weight, so it doesn't hurt to just keep it all.

a simple, but inconvenient way, is to buy your ammo on any planet on which you can rest for 48 hours in one sitting (ex: Jeremis, if you rest for 24 hrs it's actually about 50 hours, so all vendors reset). I don't know a better way.

You can actually use the mining laser to kill enemy,s but you need to be close to them. This allows you to spare on ammo and use it on the most important moments.

You can also Glitch some ammo, in Akila City it is posible to get into the vendor chest of at least 3 shops and it wil not count as these items being stolen.

1 shop is more like a general shop and you wil find guns ammo suits and more
Second is a weapons dealer, here you wil find guns and ammo
Last is the one from the bar just next too Galbank. 1200 cr and a bunch of drinks that improve your stats

Since this is not a post apocalyptic universe the current ammo economy is silly.

I just console it in until such time stores stock it at reasonable prices.

In addition to what has been mentioned, you can also put 2 points in Scavenging to increase the ammo loot-drop rate.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, thank you for your tips. I'm really early in the game and I spent time to explore around shooting on attacking beasts, but now without ammo I barely can afford going on like that :)
Rummage through abandoned facilities. There are plenty of ammo boxes (also locker, safe etc.) lying around if you want to save credits.
And of course.. invest into scavenge skill so you can find more ammo/credits from them as well.

Just loot it. What the heck are you using your ammo for? I’ve literally never had to buy any.

Steal it from skyrim vendor crates.

in New Atlantis you can buy ammo at any general store (They will have good selection but limited supply, around 30-40 rounds of each), or gun shops (they will have a bigger supply at 100+ rounds). you will only need to do this in early game for most weapons, you will eventually kill enough Spacers, Ecliptic, Crimson Fleet, etc. to build up a good stockpile of the various ammo types.

Ammo is plentiful, if you dont use grendel, maelstrom, or the minigun.
Spraying and praying with the 7.77mm guns, usually leaves you praying.

Good demonstrator of how ♥♥♥♥ 7,77mm ammo and guns that use it is the Vanguard faction mission, where you are given legendary minigun and armor to hunt some terromorphs, and you spend about 2000-4000 bullets on....5 of them? 6? At maxed skills of course.

everything else is okay, ish, ammo-supply wise. .45 can be semi-rare if you roll with silenced pistol, not every vendor sells it.

That aside, the best gun is varuun inflictor - particle rifle. Single shot action, about 300 shots is enough to finish the game. Doesnt need much ammo.

if you use lasers you will need to buy 1.5KV and 3KV charge packs early game because most of the enemy use hardball ammo.

scavenging helps quite a bit. But using machineguns or those storm weapons is just not fun early on because it deletes ammo real quick and its very pricy.

Best ammo vendors are those vendors who only sell guns. If you go to general store vendors in cities they sell little ammo in comparison.

looting the abandoned buildings and the bodies that result from doing that usually stocks me up on everything

eventually you find rarer tier weapons that just melt everything in a few shots anyway and don't use a lot of ammo
