Funny how conservatives have changed. Wonder what he would write now.
But I do love killing bugs in tower defense mode. There is something that feels just right about that and they make really creepy enemies.
"Who needs a knife in a Nuke Fight?"
Funny that in the book the main character was Filipino but in the movie it was a white dude. Wonder if the anti-wokes would hate a Filipino being in the role.
Again it is amazing how much the right wing has gone off the rails. In some ways I kind of wish Heinlein was here to reign them in.
That's indeed the case. I'd argue that the UC is more inspired by the book's Federation, rather than the one from the movies.
There's also a planet called Heinlein in the game, if I'm not mistaken.
I'd love to see an actual book accurate adaptation of Starship Troopers; although you are wrong about the society being "gender less" as the book makes a point about which roles women were funneled into based on biological differences (piloting being the biggest one as I recall). The "bugs" were also an intelligent technological race of aliens.
Granted, it would have to be made with the proper respect for the author as opposed to the movies which were designed as satire by people who admit to hating the author.
Thats one of the things Starfield got right in its setting; the UC and the FC are both played as flawed but still idealized versions of thier concepts. ... Hopefully House V will get the same treatment once we meet them properly.
Would you like to know more?
I kinda agree, although I don't think Starfield does a good job at worldbuiilding
Both the UC and Freestar, for example, are supposed to represent the descendants of many different people from all across the Earth. But it doesn't feel like that. They both feel like different aspects of the United States instead.
In fact, there's very little trace of cultures other than America in Starfield, which is a bummer in my opinion.
Then you may like Roughnecks. The CGI is very outdated but the stories are very good.
Left wing extremist detected and blocked. If you are so blind that you can’t see the problem with your own extremism and think it’s just those you don’t agree with, then sonny you are the problem.
