Everyone knows that you either need a ridiculous number of hyperdrives attached to a gigantic hyperdrive docking ring or really good relations with space whales (Purrgil) to get to another galaxy.

Building our own generational class D ship for intergalactic travel would rock. Could even see this as an alternative to vanilla NG+: instead of looping endlessly through the Starborn scenario, we simply play as an descendant of ours. Starting at level 1's, but with all of our items passed down to the new generation. And utterly free from the Lodge's tyranny!

Wishful thinking, I know I know. Fingers crossed for modders adopting the idea in the future.

Can't even leave the galaxy in Elite. Star Trek also only takes place in the Milky Way. Star Wars....hmm. I'm not sure if that all takes place in the same galaxy. I would guess it does since it says in a Galaxy far far away rather than galaxies.

I'll take that request up a notch and just straight up admit I'd be down for piloting my own capital ship. Just let me take the pilot seat for my own UC Vigilance equivalent.

I´m fine with a DLC for ships. As long as i get my own Asgard Beliskner Class Battleship, i´ll be happy.

Class D Ships would be awesome! I mean, i know we can't land with ships larger than 80 meters, which is relatively small, if you ask me.
The way it could work would be to build a large battleship and have one of the small (80m and less) ships act as a shuttle for landing. Would be cool to have a feature like that!

Some of the main chars have quite nice facial expressions, but sometimes there are just these randoms that... creep me out. oO
