****FIXED**** Graphical Hitching and Stuttering
I have a 13900ks, 4090, 128gb 5200 RAM, and running the game on an NVME. No matter what graphical setting I run the game on I get consistent hitching and stuttering. This only started about 120 hours in to my playthrough. Has anyone else experienced hitching and stuttering the longer you play? I'm curious if maybe my outposts might be causing a background processing issue.

Edit: I have also tried uninstalling the game multiple times and doing a fresh install with no mods.

Edit 2: Update. I deleted all of my outposts and the game is running just fine now. It seems the game can't handle intense background processing yet. If you build outposts, make them small.

I had small hitching of 1-2 sec a bit randomly (like 2-5 times per minute), that was fixed by deleting and recompiling shaders.

I am 70 hours into the game and have only one small outpost so not sure if this will be relevant to you.

How do I delete my shaders?

No clue. Probably. I never run a command prompt to disable it as I've never had issues in games till now.

Should be in: C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\Starfield

I have the game installed on a separate drive than my OS, so I don't have that folder.

gn and jay have done bench marks of the game and have basically the same response, the game is poorly optimized for pc, if at all.

There is a plethora of possibilities that could cause general skipping.

Specific information about your system is needed for further troubleshooting.

What version of windows?

If you have windows you have that folder.. regardless of where the game is installed (the yourname is your windows user name)

My bad. For some reason I couldn't view it? I found it by typing in the address.

Edit: This didn't help the issue. I guess the game really is that badly optimized. Hopefully we get more patches soon.
