Legacy's End is way too hard
Popped like 30 times now... that space battle is way too hard.

There's like 10 ships there, your allies are absolutely useless, and once you get focused you have 0 chance of survival, no matter how many ship parts you bring.

Afaic this is way out of line.

Start battle mission on very hard then change it too easy just before your first shot. This wil give you very hard rewards on easy difficulty enemy's

Actually its pretty easy. Barely an inconvinience.

For real though upgrade your ship. drop lasers and cannons, go for particle beams only. 4 with a damage of 35 to 50 are enough. Get some proper shields with at least 900 strength and assign crew members that buff your weapons and shields. Space battles become a piece of cake

pro tip, when you get focused in spacecombat, use boost, the space ai gets confused and atleast half of them stop fighting you, do it again and you get one on you. makes no sens, it just works.

The game tells you in the loading screen tips that boosting breaks missile lock and makes enemies have to reacquire you as a target.

oh yea i knew that, but does not make any sens, imagine your in a space battle, and your target boosts, and your brain goes well that's gone, who's next to target =D

The game also teaches you that by the enemy boosting in combat and you loosing weapon locks.

Used particle beams and rail gun. No problem. Load upon ship parts and make sure you updated your shields and such.

Sounds like you're still flying the Frontier without even any upgrades to me.

I play on Very Hard and didn't find it to be difficult. I don't recall needing to use even one ship repair part.

It all comes down to does the ai capiutal ship decide to just focus fire you or not. First time it did it, it was a cake walk, every other time after, the vigilance just seems to always target me.

Just to be clear though - I'm talking about the fight against the Crimson Fleet where the Legacy is being held up.

The pirate route was easy.

And I'm in the Razorleaf, which seems to be a decent ship at least.

Sounds like you haven't upgraded any ships, by the time I got the Razorleaf I'd upgraded the initial ships weapons/shields and found the default Razorleaf quite poor in comparison.

Yeah, hardest mission for me, but I got in my 2nd try, did hit and run, shot down an enemy, get away boosting, wait for an enemy get near, repeat...

I agree, was playing on Very Hard, and tried like 30 times. When you're able to kill 1 ship there's 3 on your tail, after killing like 5 ships feels like there's no end to it and there's still someone behind you shooting. Try to boost, does nothing to lose them. Feels like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

The only thing that made a change was changing down to Normal mode. And it was an easy peace of cake. Done at first try. Enemy ships just melt so fast they have no time to reorganize, feels like cutting butter with a hot knife.
