Maybe you don't know why this ? Here is the story.

Félicette was the first cat launched into space on October 18, 1963 as part of the French space program, in a Véronique AGI rocket no. 47, launched at 8:09 a.m. from the Joint Special Vehicle Test Center at Hammaguir in the Sahara. Algerian.

She is one of fourteen cats trained for space flight. Electrodes are implanted on his skull in order to be able to monitor his neurological activity throughout the flight. She is commemorated on postage stamps around the world and a statue of her is on display at the International Space University.
