TAB key not working?

Has anyone else had the issue of the TAB key not working? It starts off working, but then stops. It seems to be related to the steam overlay. How anyone found a fix for that?

isnt there a shortcut for overlay with shift + tab, maybe try changing that ?

i've had that happen ... what i've done is open notepad, use tab in that and it starts working in game again ... had same issue with FO76

Change steam overlay keybind. I advise Alt+F1 as its an easy combo to remember.

i had this bug happening to me just now a few minute ago, i didnt nothing special and suddenly the tab key wouldnt work AT ALL, dont know what happened, i didnt have time to relaunch the game right now but i will test again later

Yeah it's a bug with the steam overlay. It happens to me in fallout 4, fallout 76 too. If I use the overlay to chat with a friend on steam while playing, it then bugs the tab key in game.

Simple sollution, reasign key mapping from Shift+Tab to some other combo
