Perfect example, the board of directors for Paradiso. Why couldn't I drop that room full of people? Seriously? They were awful people all of whom were apparently "essential" NPCs even though they flat out aren't.
That's just one example of many that I've encountered thus far as well.
Was great to be able to not only kill Vivec but trap his soul in a gem to enchant some robes later on. Morrowind offered so much freedom and each elder scrolls since has removed or restriced features it had, Starfiled is no different.
I mean if you've seen the Atom Shop of Fallout 76, the 'free' content is all pride stuff with different colored pride flags to represent every single gender identity.
The fact that Fallout 76 didn't get popularized enough allowed it to fly under the radar and promote weirder things.
One should take a look at Bethesda's board of directors maybe, to understand the nature of why they take a stance at that narrative...?
Or maybe it's because Microsoft owns them, that it becomes a part of their stance?
Given all that, it didn't really make sense that I couldn't kill him.
Devs only made shop items regenerate after 24h. Similar could be done to key characters with look modification.
There is a cvar that is able to search up the references of NPCs, so it shouldn't be hard to cross reference all NPC that has essential enabled.
Inb4 Bethesda removes the cvar command. Or Nexusmod bans the 'remove essential' mods.
