It´s always hard to choose between two jewels of gaming.... at least give us a real bad game to compare them with, like FartCityzen, OuterBoredoms or OneShitSky.
Starfield is a fairly new game, I only have 40 hours in it and haven't even finished anything yet, still on the main story, haven't even touched the side quests and the faction quests, just like Fallout, there is plenty to do in this game and you also have outpost building and even ship building. So far, it feels similar to Fallout in every way, when I play this game I know I am playing Fallout in space. My one request from the modding community is to make Mech's active and allow us to man the Mech's. If you played the UC faction story, you will come to see them but they are all banned and decommissioned so nobody uses them, but people are still allowed to collect their parts and stuff but not allowed to operate it. I truly believe that Starfield (given enough time) will make it's way to become a very enjoyable game just like Skyrim and Fallout, but my only request is for Bethesda to release the creation kit so that our modding community can start doing stuff for this game.
The bottom line is, Starfield is good game, sure you can't compare it to Star Citizen etc, but it's a great game, basically Fallout in space and I totally feel if given enough time, this game will also shine just like Skyrim and Fallout did. We just need the modding community to improve this game and make it more enjoyable than vanilla Starfield which was the case with Fallout. Vanilla Fallout was very lacking but with mods it made it a lot more fun and enjoyable experience. I feel as if the modding community can do a lot with Starfield as the game has many planets and moons so you are not just limited to one small map as it was the case in the previous games.
But I still play the game, I enjoy it a lot.
Fallout 4 and now Starfield are both considered the worst Bethesda games by most people, aren't they?
No guns can penetrate cover in starfield because bethesda forgot to add bullet penetration in this game.
Starfield has better gunplay than fallout 4 but missing an important feature like bullet penetration is a real shame for a 2023 game.
