Considering buying the game.

I'm really considering it, but will i be able to get some decent fps with my pc? I'm not really too into the techy stuff.
But this is what i have:

I7 8700k
16gb ddr4
RTX 4070

I have a 13600k and a 4070 Ti. I usually get 70-80 fps with the occasional dip into the 40's.

Youll run it about as good as anyone. Which is poorly. But you should get stable 30 fps and no crashes... so theres that.

Also adding that an SSD, preferably an m.2 is a requirement. HDD will ensure a bad time

I would guess 30 fps and lock it if you want to try it. Might want to wait for a few patches. And I wouldn't try it unless you have an SSD.

I would wait till Bethesda fixed the game. There seem to be two mayor flaws within the code. One causes random crashes, one causes short freezes.

I'm running an i9-990k/4070Ti/16GB/1440p and the FPS in most places is really good 80+
open world planets, 100+ most indoor areas, but the cities are rough. I routinely dip down into the 40FPS range in them.

Which is a long way of saying I think it will run well enough for you to enjoy the game. But the cities are going to be a little rough.

You will be fine. I am playing on an I7 6700k, RTX 2070 and 32gb of ram. I play on 1440 medium to low settings and average about 35-40 in the city and in caves and bases I get around 50 and in caves 60.

I'm running similar specs but my GPU is only a 2060 Super, and I'm getting a smooth 60 fps at 2k resolution on (mostly) Mediium settings. I think you'll be more than fine, considering your GPU is like...2x more powerful than mine.

With 4070 and Frame Generation + DLSS mod and that PC, you'll get 90fps in cities and 144 in smaller areas and about 120-130 on planets :)

At least 100+ fps anywhere you go max settings, in 1440p or 4k at lower settings.

I'm not sure where companies started getting away with under-developing their games and then people were like "Just upgrade your PC!" or "You should get medium settings 1080p with your 4070" What the ♥♥♥♥ you mean? The 4070 should perform 1440p JUST FINE ANYWHERE! MAX SETTINGS!

No I will not upgrade, you fix your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game so that I can play to the best of my graphics card like IT WAS ADVERTISED a few years ago, and every other AAA game runs it just fine!

And I'm running Starfield with RTX 4070 on 1440p everything ultra, on 85-90fps in cities, and 120 on planets and 144 fps locked indoors.

Using DLSS and FrameGen mod though which will get its official implemenation soon anyways
