The real answer is it's just a game and games are products of the world they exist in so games are inherently political. They'll always be informed by the politics of the people making them. The sooner you realize this, the sooner you can grow up a little and learn to ignore things you don't agree with like the rest of us.
In general I find it an American utopia.
Serious answer no it is not and yes you can easily ignore the aspects that others are trolling the forums with.
