Devil you know quest questions, warlock ship, (minor spoiler)

Is it possible to arrest the captain of the warlock like the quest tells you, or not?

I know you can disable and board, but he suicides before you can get at him. Is there a trick?

Don't think so, the way the quest ending plays out pretty much suggests that he absolutely 100% has to die no matter what.

Seems so, and the various guides on the net I found since posting say the same.

Feel kinda cheated, bought those em star ship weapons. Ended up loading a save to get my money back and just blasting him.

And apparently, we can't take over his ship even though it is a unique ship. I tried using my emp weapons to disable it. But when clicking on the pilot's seat it says it is inaccessible. :(

Yeah. For like the fifth time, get excited about something actually special in the game to collect, but nope, it's hard-scripted to deny the player their prize.

It's like the DEVS are intentionally trying to disappoint and piss off it's players...
