What is the classification of Ballistics?

What are some example of ballistic weapons and how can you tell if it's ballistic or not?

so do that ballistic weapon skill ADD together with shotgun, should be ? ...

have skill 4 in Shotgun, would Ballistic ADD to that ... already OP af, but after that, I would kill everything singleshot at very hard

Three damage type are in-game for the weapons :

Ballistic, Energy, and Electro-Magnetic.

Energy is lasers, EM is everything that stuns but doesn't kill, and ballistic is everything else.

Yes, ballistics work with shotguns, because shotguns fire projectiles ^^

There is also a damage perk for pistols and I guess there is one for rifles too you know? ;)

Endgame foes in very hard can have several thousands HitPoints, you're nowhere near one shotting those ;)
