Question about Helium-3 harvesting

yes, I know the process and am currently harvesting helium-3. This question is related to the Helium-3 in steaming piles littered all around the iron rich segment of my claim. Is there a way to harvest from those steaming toxic piles?

You can run up to them and click E to collect from them (as long as you don't have the scanner up, it won't work if it's up). You'll get some environmental damage from that though.

The gas piles you see can only be harvested manually...

You have to make an outpost and look for a helium circle to automatically harvest it.

On some Moons like Kreet its just in the Atmosphere and you can place HE3 Harvesters literally everywere.
Just look if your Base Build Screen allows them and you are set.

land in the middle of it and scan the ground for large green areas.
put down an outpost in the middle of it, bonus if the circle includes other resources you can harvest that too.

set up some harvesters and some gas storage, viola unlimited helium 3

set up an inter system platform as well so you can export it to other outposts to supply those platforms with fuel from it when you're filling requests

Yes, I understand. I asked because there were several in the field I was harvesting Iron from and I wanted to know it can be made use of.
