Personal Homes: Is storage in home accessible at crafting stations/outposts?

Am wondering if its worth purchasing a home? I have a ton of material but was curious if I dump it all in a home, would this mats be available when I'm at outposts for construction similar to how the mats in the ships cargo hold are accessible "anywhere" ie crafting benches and outposts?

Atm storing anything in a player home or player ship or player outpost may not be the best way togo. I have seen multiple reports of people that lost their rewards and goodies simply because their ship/home/outpost is getting reset to base version.

There is an unlimmited safe in your room in the lodge, no npc wil acces it and is the safest place to store atm. Not sure if anyone reported it trough the propper channels but if they did then surely bethesda is aware and are looking into it

Interesting...can you access this crates content from any outpost when you want to build something (like you can if they're in the ships cargo hold?)

Sadly no, you are forced to take the stuff from the lodge and move it to where you need it to build. Bethesda made sure the lodge cellar has a unlimited storage box as well so at least there you have easy acces when your on the work benches but if you want to build a outpost or do research/build projects on your ship you have to take the stuff out of the lodge

Just build crafting stations in your ship. You can make a mule ship and exploit any amount of cargo onto your good ship if your a clepto. But 2 tonnes of room is usually enough for a playthrough. You only need a science lab and workshop to get all crafting stuff.

ahh thats pain...u cant fast travel since you are guaranteed to be overloaded...but i suppose one doesnt' do outpost building all that much so not that compared to other gameplay so not that big a deal...

Being overburden in this game isnt as bad as in previous bethesda games. You can keep moving fairly quickly, health drops down to like 10 or 15% orso but it wil never deplete for being overburdend.

I have run around with 25,000 units of materials, as long as you dont get into a fight on foot your good :D

only for containers built from the storage menu, but not with containers built in the furniture menu, and only from the outpost that has the container unless you set up cargo links. Homes don't have the container menu so all containers built in homes are from the furniture menu. I still use my dream home as a storage warehouse though because its huge and has plenty of room to build containers.
