I'd like to be able to Save and Load an appearance.
Currently it can be done but requires Console commands.
I noticed while editing my guy at the appearance store, that the game doesn't save the options I picked. So moving any of the sliders will reset any changes I did originally. By allowing us to save and load our appearance we have an easier way to reset stuff, or make changes when we do NG+.
1. building ships is (imo) actually one of the funniest things in the game, so it is always a pleasure spending some time travelling the universe looking for the perfect module to fit in
2. trying to replicate a previous owned og- ship in ng+ offers the chance of enhancement, trying to obtain an even better design, aiming for perfection
What I would likely suggest instead is just introduce placeholder parts for imported ship designs.
if you do not have the part, have instead a 'hologram' or 'shadow' component that would place-hold the part in question so you can look for a replacement part (or parts) in that ship design.
This way you can import any ship design you can dream of and any part that isn't there or currently available to you shows in a ghostly red or something.
This. I did it, and it reminded me of Alice's Restaurant
maybe a few other reference views in the ship builder. I then stash them in a safe folder so I can delete them in Steam's Screenshot Manager. I also make sketches that way of ships of different classes but don't actually want to pay for the rebuild. for possible use when I start a completely new game,
Alice's Restaurant, eh? You guys can't be older than me, or if you are. 'grats for that :D. I myself have been livin' on the Group W bench for quite a while now. Interesting community...
