FIXED!!! Starfield crashing when loading the saved game after the update

Hi,
Here is how to rollback the latest patch that broke saves and game performance.

HOWTO:
1. Open "Run" menu (Windows Key + R)
2. Type steam://open/console/ and hit enter, you should see a CONSOLE tab appear in the steam main window.
3. Enter the command download_depot 1716740 1716741 4447793252473787578 into the console.

Youll see (actually the path will be different for everyone):
Downloading depot 1716741 (27 MB) ...
Depot download complete : "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_1716740\depot_1716741" (21 files, manifest 4447793252473787578)

4. Go to the folder path in the last line, and all the old files will be there.
5. Copy them back into the starfield game folder and enjoy

P.S.: I know that this issue isn't observed for everyone. My friend playing with mods and doesn't have such an issue with saved games. Also, you can try to disable/remove all mods if any but it doesn't guarantee anything.

Update your mods, they're bound to break after an update like every other game especially during these early days where they're injected rather than packaged with something like the creation kit.

If your mod hasn't been updated yet, then uninstall them until they are.

im not using any mods. my first play through of these kind of games are always modless

Yup no mods here and the update destroyed the fps no matter settings. completely choppy and unplayable. Have tried all fixes from deleting shaders to all updates.

No mods here and I have the same issue.
Tried this fix and it didnt work unfortunately.
