I landed on two different spots, which on the planet map (not surface map!) where initially shown in different locations and there were also different resources. The icon was displayed in different places. When I wanted to go back, I had two landing spot icons on the same place and I thought its both the same. I was confused why suddenly there are the resources of the first landing (I recall it was silver and lead, the proper one had alk and iron). So I recalled I landed before more to the north-eath and tried to land there again and find the post with no success. Then I tried to click the second icon on the same spot with silver and it turned out to be another landing location that previously was a good distance to north east...
After I got my outpost back, the game ♥♥♥♥♥♥ me with another 3 bugs, starting from unusable benches regardless where they are placed, to the game thinking inside of buildings is outside and vice-versa and many more.
It just works
I move all of my beacons after I get my layouts set up. With this one base though I cannot find it. The landing site and everything from that area were gone. The planet icon is still there, my limit is still counting it but I cannot for the life of me find it.
I cant believe in a game of so many menus we didnt get an outpost menu with every outpost listed for quick traveling to and fro.
It might not help with the one you've already lost (and can't find back again?), but with new one: I could test if the new position is valid, because when I've opened the map, it was gone, when I closed the map, moved the beacon to a spot back and it appeared on the map back again. I assume you can test the validity of the location before you leave. Though maybe it only works AFTER the bug was triggered once, since it was a settlement I lost and had to find back again and I've tested it AFTERWARDS. So no guarantees
You mean the outpost edit screen?
When within the outpost range, if you open the scanner and hit the 'place outpost,' button it launches the build menu.
That's a restricted area. Never move over the straight lines. Things will not work. Learned from experience.
We need a way to clear old landing sites, or the game should let outpost boundaries trump landing site boundaries. Or both.
