Mannequins disappearing suits

I happened to upgrade my ship a day ago and had the brilliant idea to put the constellation suit on the mannequin I had just so I could see it every time I passed by. To my surprise I just saw that my suit is no longer there, goodbye to the super suit I was making

It seems that this is a problem that happened to many, avoid placing your suits on a mannequin if you do not want to lose them

I don't even see stuff placed on them, they are completely broken.

Happened to my UC Vanguard suit as well as I've mentioned before. I tried warning y'all days ago.

placed few mannequins in my house (dream house trait), mannequin looks empty after equping the armor set but after opening it, armor is there even after reload ... just not showing up - pitty, was lookin 4ward to make my showroom --- sure never use ur ship as showroom, its totaly broken :D

Not showing for me either. My "showroom" is inside a station on a moon. Nothing on the mannequins. In the inventory of the mannequin there is the suit so it is at least not lost for me.

You have to not only put the item on the mannequin but then in the mannequin's inventory equip it.

BUT DON'T.

Anything that causes items to be moved from an equipped mannequin to cargo, instead, deletes the items.

Lost a ton of nice armor, and it doesn't sound fun to roll back my saves that far so I'm just gonna be angry about it.
