It's a good thing. I got Fallout 4 vibes when I watched the reveal video last year. One reason I am very excited about playing it. Those who did not like Fallout 4 or Skyrim very much, had better just skip it.
Not at all - Similar setting but thats about it... NMS is a crafting/survival game not a story/quest based RPG... They might look similar at a distance but they will feel totally different when you actually play them... Starfield is going to be alot like Skyrim/Fallout in terms of gameplay when of foot and they are nothing like NMS, and when in space Starfield looks to be much more like Freelancer than anything else which again, is very different from NMS...
I mean thats like saying Fallout 4 is basically just like Rust or something...
If it was skyrim/elder scrolls in space wouldn't that mean it introduced a bunch of cool new things on top of decent game play?
though I think it would also mean I could play it on my ps5......
He is pissed the game will not support Play Station 5. Can't blame him with that. Which was a Microsoft stab at Sony.
But his assertion it will not introduce some new concepts is wrong. Space flight/combat and having your own crew manned, custom built, space ship, is something no other Beth game has.
Yeah, no sht, this is the first space IP game from Bethesda, it will all be 'new'... (ーー;)
You would think they would stand to gain some more revenue if they did let Starfield support PS. But they are not hurting for revenue. So it's basically Corporate squabbling going on. More of a Prestige thing.
Well, it's a space theme game, so that certainly will be new. But the base building looks similar to Fallout 4's settlement building. And companions, well those are pretty common in their two big games, Fallout 4 and Skyrim. The crafting and cooking, looks like what they have did in the past.
Of course different looking Hud. But we should know more of such differences and similarities this Sunday. June 11.
