RTX 3080
i5 12600kf
32GB RAM
Playing at 1440p
I just like persistent fps rather than jumping up and down so I like to cap mine to something where it wont move much. Since this game runs quite poorly it was going between 60-100 at points. Because 60 feels horrible on a 144hz monitor it feels better to play at something that is divisible by your refresh rate. 72 is half of 144 so if I can't reach those smooth 100+ fps values, capping it at 72 still feels way smoother than 60.
The game has actually worked really well for me, but then again, im doing 1440p on a 4070 with DLSS enabled. So who knows lol.
I don’t watch FPS but just go by look and feel. I’ve been playing maxed (Ultra with FSR on default) and it has looked and felt great but I can’t wait to try the new driver. Maybe I’ll try turning off upscaling all together.
Edit - Specs:
RTX 3080
i7 10700KF
32GB RAM
Playing at 1440p ultrawidescreen 3440x1440
Using default Ultra Preset w/ FSR on at default 75% scale
Resizable Bar = True
Starfield seems like the exact type of game* that should benefit from resizable bar. (*lots of streaming assets)
Yep I did no difference in performance I still drop to the 40's in Mast, Atlantis, so more then likely resiable bar is what improved it for you
