Why does my watch beep all the time?

I've arrived at the Constellation hub on Jemison - I'm running around in 'The lodge' the moment I put my helmet and space suit off there is an annoying beep that won't go away. What gives?

Are you referring to in game watch, or the physical watch that comes with the Constellation edition?

Character moves normally, i don't think I'm encumbered. Watch shows 21% O2 though, god knows why....

I believe some people have reported on "bad air quality" warning bug, that's what the beeping is. So the watch keeps warning even though you've traveled to a safe location/planet. I haven't encountered this myself but look it up and you might find a solution.

In-game watch, didn't do the 'get something physical' thing. After the 'backpack' and 'rum bottle' (or was it nuka cola?) situation with the last Fallout, it was probably not a great idea ;)

I see, thank you. I might have started to play the game waaaay too early. It's a Bethesda release, after all. I think I'll be back in 3 months or so :)

No - I've left all perks off, I could not judge the benefit to cost ratio since this is my first time diving in to the game. No perks on this char.

You can totally leave them empty. Perks are like in Fallout games: they have upsides and downsides - and you're not forced to take any if you don't like them.

My in-game watch is broken I think. I have never once heard it beep over 110 hours of play and the game even told me about it in one of those tutorial popups. But I heard nothing.

That's normal tho? The atmospheric composition of earth is like 78.08% nitrogen, 20.95% oxygen, 0.93% argon, 0.04% carbon dioxide, and small amounts of other gases. If Oxygen was higher it would actually be deadly and likely to cause wildfires.

Yes, I think so, I am not familiar with its displays yet, I was thinking it showed the amount of pressurized O2 available in the space suit when you have it on.
