I'm looking for something like the land on which New Atlantis is build, but unpopulated.
There are rivers but they are too rare
Can't remember name of planet (or maybe it was a moon) offhand, will need to log in to find it.

The paradise planet has beaches. Where the Paradiso resort is located. Its an extreme environment but no suits are needed (I think pressure) Look for coastal tiles that actually say coastal. No government but the company lay claim to the planet.
Close to a beach:

The actual name is Porrima II located in the Porrima system (Level 30) south east of the galaxy map. It's not a hostile system but there is wary wildlife down here that I can see. There could well be a predator I haven't come across yet.
There are quite a few small islands if you just want a quiet retreat.

have you tried getting in the water? the collision map is ankle deep. it's quite fitting for the game tbf. "wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle"
I found some moons/planets with larger and smaller lakes, also two with rivers. They exist, but are rare. Would assume this from rl too.

Most of the time you might not notice the rivers or lakes as they are frozen.
