Game is now crashing when loading any save....
GG Bethesda. This is the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥ optimisation I've ever seen.

Yeah I tried to check the file.

Next step, re-installing the game - AGAIN.

nothing, the shaders are completely recompiled, it always crashes the desktop every time I load a savegame

Rename the directory: Documents\My Games\Starfield\Saves to Saves.OLD.

Create a new folder called Saves, place your latest save in there and try to load that.

There was a problem with FO4 (this was patched out I believe) where too many saves would cause odd issues.

Hi again folks. Thanks again for your ideas and solutions. Not sure from who it is from, or if it's because of what I've tried, but I managed to star and play my LATEST save. The NEWEST looked fkd and the following ones too. I had 7 saves, the 7th worked.
Currently sending this, and trying to relaod the game. I'll keep in touch.

So i could only play for around 10 minutes at a time and the game would just crash to desk top, Driver on GPU side would stop responding then recover, the fix I found is this: Go to Nvida control panel/Manage 3D settings and to program settings tab, then "ADD" Star field to the add box, next go down to the "Max Frame Rate" and change that to 60 fps. If you go any higher it will crash to desktop, other wise will run great. Funny thing is my rig can run this on ultra settings with around 135-145 FPS but would get SHUT DOWN due to game making my GPU driver to stop responding and crash to desk top... makes no sense that DEVS would put a CAP on an Intel / Nvida build... unless they wanted to make AMD look good... just sayn' ( Anyway let me know if this helped any of you out) Oh yea also MUST turn off the FRS amd BS in the game or it will continue to crash. Have fun and GAME ON
What in earth is FRS and BS?
Wanted to try that but cannot figure out what it is or where

If you just create an empty save folder, create a new game (go through intro quest) does taht save load?

If it doesn't, something got corrupted in your game files.
If it does, something is corrupted in your saved game.
