Transfer containers are basically worthless and need fixing
As stated they only work on outpost with a single resource as you can only access the 400 stored in the transfer container. When you have an outpost with 5 resources like me and many others it just does not work as it fills with a single one of the resources and is thus pointless.

The transfer container should let you access ALL the inventories of ALL storage containers it is connected too and on a side note the outpost link should only ever need one. If your only trading in system the in system one but if your trading with outpost outside the system then the out of system one. But the out of system one should also do in system as well and they should be able to have unlimited links for each one.

No need to build more than one, imagine if Amazon needed to build a new freight depot every time it had a new product. This is the level of stupid this system is and it needs a major overhaul, the outposts are a massive step down from the settlements of fall out 4 from 8 years ago. Like seriously how do you make a worse system than one you already had with 8 years to improve on it.

Yeah I don't know what they were thinking with those things. Very tedious to set up, and for what? They don't need to be, it doesn't add anything.

I don't understand why the transfer doodad doesn't just let you access outpost inventory the same way you access your ship inventory. Trying to set up a crafting outpost with tons of loot storage is pretty useless without a consolidated inventory screen. Poor design, poorly implemented. How they let this slip through QC and testers I'll never know.

I remember another topic about how the logistical system is honestly utter bollocks for the production chain. And I agree the cargo links should instead work like a digital sotrage mod from minecraft where it essentially connects inventories together like a network it would massively ease the issue.

Everything with transfer containers and production output is wrong. Not to mention linking outposts. It's such a complex mess. Outposts are almost useless because of this.

We should be able to have one Main Outpost with unlimited storage, where you can put everything you want in one main container. And linking outposts system should be much simpler.

Yeah, I have no idea how someone would look at the current system and not see the glaring issues. I don't think it is actually possible to set up a functional logistics system with the current mechanics.

All they needed to do was add a way to allocate storage for each specific resource on a individual container level and it would work perfectly. Also the cargo link should have no build limit, or just allow full access to the bases inventory.
