Dragonborn was Epic. Now its Miner! Lol
You felt like a very important person being in Skyrim because you were a Dragonborn. Someone unique throughout the Skyrim world. No one had equal powers like you in the game.

In Starfield you are a common Miner. Lol. Nothing to be said.

You were outlaw at the beginning in Skyrim Who wants to trespassing border but got caught and was about to be executed. Not someone very important...

You literally start every Elder Scrolls game as a prisoner.

All major TES entries saw the player start out as a petty criminal. Either in a cell, a prison ship, or a carriage en route for execution. I'd say being a miner with steady income and no criminal track record is a few notches better.

Afterwards it's just a matter of becoming Starborn rather than Dragonborn.

Well in Starfield you become Starborn and unlock powers from temples……wait a minute
bro is 21 hours into the game and hasnt unlocked starborn powers

You are a perfectly normal character instead of the "Chosen One"? Finally, something is different at last.

Also, between HBO's chernobyl and Deep Rock Galactic, miners are kickass.

Better for roleplaying if you are a nobody. You become a starborn btw

I wish but not true. You are the chosen one. It just takes some time to figure it out. And it doesn't fit the theme at all.

You felt like someone important in Skyrim? In Skyrim??!!

And now you aren´t feeling special anymore because noone praises you right from the start and doesn´t want you to be their leader after doing two pointless fetch quests ??

Mindblowing.

Skyrim introduces you as a Dragonborn in the very first cutscene when a dragon formally comes and stares at your soul.

May be a starborn later but at first you are a miner which means starfield doesn't make you feel that special character right from the beginning of the game. Instead it forces you to spend time playing and earn your starborn badge

No you're not. Literally everyone is surprised at what you're doing. There is no prophecy that says you'll do it. There is no reason to believe you'll do it. Multiple characters with what might be termed prophetic awareness loudly exclaim about how amazed and astounded they are that you, YOU, are doing this.

I mean not really? You don't know you are dragonborn until you progress the story far enough to actually gain powers. You could start the game and completely ignore the main story and never gain a single shout or fight a single dragon for many hours. I just did this in my last play through. Ignored the main story to play a non-dragonborn style characters. Outside of Alduin you don't even see dragons in game until after you fight the first one at the tower.

I'm sorry I don't see much difference in the two stories.
