Yes, via Steam, as with 99% of any other game. What you describe wanting is exactly what Steam offers. If you don't like Steam method, you are free to use photo mode. If you don't like photo mode, then I guess you'll be without screenshots.
The print screen key on your keyboard? To the right of F12?
Go to Paint, or any program that accepts pics, and ctrl-v to paste it in. Save.
Voila... screenshot.
I'm pretty sure there's a steam command to do the same thing, but I've never used it. Sorry that I can't tell you what it is.
Too bad that it's not in-game based. Most games don't provide that capability. I've always found it easier to use the print screen button myself. Much much easier.
Also, god forbid devs put a normal screenshot key like games have included for decades.
That's quite the leap in reasoning. And devs have included, not one, but TWO screenshot buttons. One is implemented via Steam, and one is implemented via photo mode. Enjoy your screenshotting my guy.
