Mod to auto change camera from 3rd to 1st based on combat status?
Anyone know of one, or how to create it?

You're looking for a mod that changes your preferred non-combat (3rd person) to a preferred combat (1st person) when combat is initiated?

I am also looking for this. I really like to shoot enemies in 1st person, but I like the exploration to be 3rd person.

Agreed. The animations are pretty cool with your character. Especially his slow stalking walk with his pistol drawn. Would be very cool.

Correct. Exactly this. And maybe a 10 second delay back to 3rd once combat is done.

Interesting question! My thoughts on working something like this without a mod would first be dependent upon if you're playing M+K or Gamepad. If the latter, you could maybe set up a macro in the Steam Controller layer using "start press" commands to hit "Mousewheel Up" twice when you pull the left trigger. If you are then maybe wanting to customize it a little further, you could also add an additional single "Mousewheel Down" action with an "on release" command for the trigger, so you pop back into third-person when you let the trigger go.

Actually... hmmmm I'm going to try this tonight when I get home, it sounds like it could be fun!

If you're not using a controller, then maybe you could do the same with your Mouse/Keyboard config software? I know my Kinesis keyboard's config tool can do this, and maybe the Logitech Gaming Software I use for my Mouse and G13 keypad. And outside of that, try a tool like ReWASD, which I use fairly regularly to do things just like this as well.

Anyway, not a solution, just brainstorming some work-around ideas.

I saw one on the nexus that uses the 1st person ads perspective when aiming in 3rd person. I used to use the same sort of thing in Fo4.
