The whole thing is a attempt to create the western fantasy themed faction, to suck up to the new vegas fans, but it feels forced and their main quest is plane and boring. Just a bunch of clowns in the cowboy suits. I wish they better be rednecks, that at least could be somewhat realistic or funny

It has ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to do with New Vegas. Space western has been a trope for decades. Whether they executed it in an interesting way here is another question.
