Because out on the wild fringes of space, the lawless need to beware. Civilisation is coming.
(You can however pickpocket them, just an idea).
(Yes it's just a game, but it's the true answer.)
I always hear the Deus Ex games are phenomenal at this. I need to play them some day.
praise the great serpent.
Though immediately afterwards I decided to attack anyway because I was curious if anyone would say anything. And I wanted more loot to sell and a chance at more legendary equipment.
I didn't get anything special.
And no one minded my actions in the slightest after the situation was already resolved.
Overall win I guess.
Because it's not their fault that their childhood was traumatic and led them to a life of crime?
It's never the criminals fault. They didn't choose to be evil, kill, loot, steal, rape, be a bigot, bully, or any other evil action you can think of. They were led to it because of their parents. It's their evil parents who brought them up wrong.
Granted... it's not really the parents' fault either. They had their own bad upbringing... so maybe it's the grandparents... but no... they're still alive, so it's their upbringing that was flawed. Perhaps the great-grandparents? Only if they're dead. You can blame them, then.
It couldn't possibly be an individuals choice to do something bad or wrong that goes against the good of society. They were forced into it because of the way they were raised.
Human Revolution is pretty good but there are times where you must fight regardless of your character's build...
The guy is kind of an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ if you see his cages... But I wouldn`t argue at all that the main story forces a specific morality.
I see you like your sarcasm thick. To be fair, anything less could be confused with mainstream dogma. The whole "morals are a fiction, but if you do bad things you're a bad person" philosophy breaks down pretty quick.
I'm less offended by the wokish thinking than I am about the level of thought involved. I might have disagreed with Caesar from New Vegas, but he could at least clearly explain what he wanted, why he wanted it, and what he hoped would happen after he died. The members of Constipation, on the other hand, don't know what they want, wouldn't know what to call it if they did, and have only the vaguest guidelines regarding future actions.
I'm looking forward to the first mod that lets you find temples and artifacts without getting Constipation involved. I wouldn't trust them with my starship keys, much less a simple trolley problem or the fate of the multiverse. At the bare minimum they need a code of ethics, a mission statement, and a failsafe if Constipation or the UC government that rules them becomes compromised.
