Why are all the female characters so flat chested and androgynous looking?
Per title.

Whenever my character puts on the swimsuit apparel, she looks like a boy with a ponytail.

"Female" is very offensive and outdated term, OP. We call them "body type 2" now.

Because of "2023". Having "sexy women" in a video game causes people from Polygon and Kotaku to suffer mental meltdowns, which then jumps over to their followers on Twitter. For some reasons publishers like Bethesda care about that nonsense.. even if everybody knows that "Team Meltdown" is a veeeeeery small (but loud) minority that shouldn't even be worth mentioning.. But hey, the big corpos listen to them, because they think Twitter equals the real world.. so here we are.

What's this new appeal with only adding average looking females? It happened in New World too, the women aren't very appealing in the considered "woke" game either. It's crazy that some of these AAA games are too afraid to make women sexy. It's almost if they're in a religion following a strict code like muslims and very conservative christians do towards women. It's strange.

I think most options people claim are LGQTE pandering are actually just Todd saving time and money with second thought, lol, wouldnt surprise me at all.
The NPCs being generated by an AI, just happen to make no white people, wcyd

Its not really. Its to avoid upsetting the 0.1% of tossers who'd complain about how it doesn't represent what women look like and it just feeds into the "male gaze" or some dribble like that. Same thing with 80% of the NPC's being black too. Companies have no balls anymore.

BGS is pandering as usual.
Some people think those are "women" and in fact is insulting to biological women. Even petite women still look more female than the things put in the game.

Welcome to the 'loud minority' problem.
Unlike in real life where if a small, not actually popular group would run around, yell in people's faces and try to shame or struggle session someone in an area where they are not the majority would get kicked out. Or rightfully worse.

Online places like twitter(X) or facebook allow these unemployed/underemployed leverage their free time into making their view appear more popular by posting more often. replying to other's in their tiny group's posts positively. Run sock puppet accounts to dogpile others and do online struggle sessions.

So companies other then ones like bgs who have not succumb to the corporate versions of struggle sessions aka DEI and ESG scores. think they are the majority and pander to them.

Honestly, these body/clothing designs just feel 'convenient' rather than any hidden agenda.

Easy to design, easy on the physics, animations, and various interactions in the game.

Actually its by design. Lots of games and media are doing this. You can find many videos on the subject. Many believe it is to promote gender ambiguity.

I've found during my time on Earth (1967) that only women have a problem with big breasted women, the hussies. Attracting their men, making them feel small (NPI).

Sarcasm aside I think it's that this is a game and people might be reading too much into it, except with regards to the whole woke aspect of it, which is aggressive.

Dove legit ran a campaign to make female characters ugly. Also. Fable, Horizon, and Andromeda.
