Black Holes
Why are there usually no black holes in these bigger space games?

In NMS there also aren't any black holes you can freely see, you have to do some kind of quest or something for thath I think?

Starfield isn't trying to be close to reality so why not at least one quest in which you could see a black hole?

Black holes are huge part of the space and they are, at least for me, the most interesting thing in space.

I think it would be nice to at least see some smaller black hole in a distance. Even if you can't get close to it, it would be cool to see it at least.

Also, I know that black holes are basically invisible, but we are not talking about reality here right?

Black Holes are rarity and it makes sense that we dont have one in Starfield. Look at the Star Map, its basically a small neighborhood around Sol, i´d say about 100 to 150 lightyears max, maybe somewhat more.
The closest known Black Hole would be Gaia BH1 which is 1,560 lightyears away.

That is why I said that Starfield isn't trying to be real so why not.

Starfield is in year 2330 and earth is dead in this game already which is impossible.

There are black holes flying around in cosmos so there might have at least be one which drifted close to us.

Elite dangerous have a lot of black holes including Sagittarius A the biggest one in the galaxy

Check out Elite Dangerous. That has black holes and it's quite an experience if you get to experience it.

No black hole. No sentient aliens. Game is boring in that regard.

Elite Dangerous is starship only game which I am not really a huge fan of, but I might give it a try later.

Starfield is basically perfect concept for a space game imo.

It evolved beyond that, David Braben isnt just talks like Peter Molyneux. There is now planetary landing, Rovers and i think with the newest expansion you can even walk around. As always however, some people love it, others hate it.

You wouldn't be able to bring back loot from inside the black hole anyway.

Because in reality the star systems involved in this title like wolf, sol, etc... none of these stars have a black hole in them. Also simulating the light behavior involved in a black hole would be insane in real time.

"b-but space is boring! if you land on mars right now there'd be nothing there!"
what a great premise for a game lmao

In reality, Earth will still be alive in 2330... that is why I mentioned multiple times that the game isn't trying to be real so why not.

Actually the way they stated earth died makes it make sense. But you have to play the game and not find weird things to complain about in order to get to that point.

I don't care if what they stated makes sense, it's made up, it's not real, doesn't matter if it makes sense or not, it won't ever happen by the year 2330 so the Earth's situation is not real, hence why black holes, which will never get close to us, might be real as well... it would at least make the game more interesting.

In fact magnetic poles switch will disable magnetic field life protection from sol radiation at many years with maybe not so fatal but near result.

300 years is not enough for Earth to die, never.
