Miscellaneous items in ships cargo hold

Please please please make it so that when you upgrade a ship or switch ships you don't get all the miscellaneous items from the old ship or the new part you install in the cargo hold. Every time I sell a ship all the miscellaneous items from the old ship end up in the cargo hold of the new ship. I've had to sell over 100 miscellaneous items at once and suspect I'll have to do it again until this "feature" is changed. It's really annoying thinking you just upgraded your cargo space but NNNNOOOOooooooooo. It's full of styrofoam cups and pens and markers and eating utensils instead. Vendor npc in New Atlantis,"Hi there. Where'd you just come from?" Me, "Where's it look like I came from? I just got out from behind a dumpster. You want this crap?" Vendor npc, "Sure. I'll give you 1 to 10 credits for anything you wanna sell."

Alternatively I could just throw it on the ground outside my ship on some planet somewhere, but that takes effort aswell and I'm pretty sure it won't disappear either. I threw some stuff on the landing pad of New Atlantis like 20 hours ago and it's still there. So please, I hope they do something about this annoying feature. Thank you!

The alternative is potentially losing any trophies you placed so as annoying as it is its probably the lesser of two evils.

You can jettison all of it. Open your inventory in space, and there's a button to just dump it.

Onboard my ship i usually only carry resources and aid items (ship parts). After every ship upgrade i jettison all other items. You can even do this in a spaceport.

But i agree that this mechanic sucks. There should be no decorative items with weight on board unless you put them there yourself.

Agreed. No weighted cosmetics unless you put them there would be imo fair. It's just dumb
