Is there no salvage workbench to scrap unwanted stuff?

I got a bunch of useless weapons i could break down into raw parts or resources, but i dont see a bench to scrap them. Is there one or are they a waste of space?

No, there's no 'scrapping" of gear in the game. Either sell the stuff, or don't pick it up in the first place.

this one in skyrim gave a crazy boost to fps.

Nope. Just pick up guns for ammo and toss them back on ground. You can't scrap them for parts.

Of course you can't recycle stuff. And of course you can't remove a scope from a weapon and attach it to an another.

It's next gen, you know.

Funny i seem to remember seeing a game trailer with Todd and he said if you picked up an SMG with extended mag using same bullets you could put that extended mag on a pistol or stuff...
