A space roll game?
I repeat, it should be something residual. Knowledge like progress is exponential, do not underestimate it.
Greetings
You're telling me that in only 3 centuries all major sects of Christianity died out? That the Jewish people of all types gave up their faith that is part and parcel of their identity? That all followers of Islam abandoned the core principles of their faith and to convert all? That Buddhism and Hinduism died out despite being the most widely practiced religions on earth in its most populous nations? I don't buy it.
At most I could believe more localized religions like Mormonism and Shinto dying out, alongside Catholicism due to a collapse of the clergy, but bigger faiths? ♥♥♥♥ no, those would at least still be around in some way, shape, or form.
The lack of old world religion in the game is just a case of lazy world building, same with the levitation act 2.0 (mech edition) and the lack of pets and earth wildlife being brought across the stars.
Industrial revolution, end of the 19th century, look back and look forward.
And all thanks to religions (Irony)
No, I'm telling you that there are other arguments.
If thats the case, and you want the game to be realistic, then does the game offer an answer as to where everything came from?
No.
The universe either magically appeared from nothing, or it was created.
So when you find a game that answers that question, then I'll believe your drivel about religion dying out.
I personally didn't want the decs touching on real world faiths; both because it's difficult fir even good writers to handle the multitude of faiths with the respect each deserves plus it would just cause fighting even if done well.
Also honestly after Earth is gone, most of humanity dead (whatever the lore might say six sparsely settled systems and major cities that barely qualify as small towns means the evacuation of Earth didn't go as well as the UC would like us to believe) I do believe religions would evolve and perhaps consolidate.
