Emerson Shepherd (Store owner) in Akila killed by animal that got into Akila. Will he respawn?

Some kind of wandering animal (planetary mob) made its way into Akila city. Apparently it killed emerson shepherd (store owner). He hasnt re-spawned for days. Will he? I can sell or buy at his store

Which store owner is it? The General Store guy or the Mineral guy? Weird that he died because I'd assume that once he's dead that's it. No respawn. I was under the assumption that store owners had beefy hitpoints like in Oblivion or Skyrim. However, if you called an NPC Merchant in either of those games they were dead forever.

I have the same problem and this post is the only thing I can find about it.
Essential NPC's such as vendors should either not be possible to kill or be able to respawn.

Have you tried waiting for 48h?
You also could use console commands.

I think this should be solved in some of the next patches. But who knows when Bethesda will release them. So far nothing.

Figured out how to resurrect him:

1. Point a camera at the body
   
2. Open console and click on the body (make sure that the text in the middle of the screen says 'EmersonShepherdREF')
   
3. Type in

    resurrect 1

   and press Enter

resurrect 1
and press Enter

This worked perfectly to get Shepherd back, and probably any other NPC killed as non-essential, including Belle. The Ashta attacks in Akila City seem to be the biggest culprits.

have you not seen pet cemetery, you do not want to resurrect rando's and or friends !
it doesnt work out , now you have to worry about a zombie Shep getting all hungry for brains and dont get me started on how Sarah's going to take you playing shop keep re-animator
