is this mission bugged???"First contact"

trying to do the mission "First contact" and i got to the part where i try to retrofit a grav drive to the 200 year old ship... but one of the things im supposed to change will not change, i just get a error. its the "reroute power from the port turbopump to the auxillary cryogenic radiator" this just does NOT work. anyone who can help?

My issue with this quest is entirely different. I also picked the friendly "give them a grav drive" route. However after installing it and having a lovely chat with the chief engineer, I head for the bridge. Then all of a sudden the whole crew turns hostile and it ends in a bloodbath. This should be the outcome for the "blow up grav drive" route, not this one.

Actually, I think this is... sort of "by design". I think I took too long to complete the 3 steps to install the grav drive and that caused an explosion. Whoopsie.
