Should I get it?
Reviews seem good, Sounds like its a mix between fallout and no mans sky but am not sure. Story good? Exploration good? Is the game worth the money?

Just watch some gameplay to help you decide, you wont get any valuable input here right now. Its mostly trolls and other wannabes spouting BS

You should give it a try if it clicks for you. From the 50+ hours I've played so far, I'd say go for it.

Kind of hard to say. Getting into it is kind of a slow burn and the learning curve is way over the top for any Bethesda game I've ever played. Also, you'd need to make sure your PC is a decent one with an SSD.

I’ve got over 50 hours in and I love it.👍🙂

Main story sucks. It has a few moments but it's worse than Skyrim.

Exploration is god awful. No Man's Sky is far superior if that's what you're interested in.

For the side stories and activities, it's worth the money, but only because there is a MASSIVE amount of content. Doesn't mean the majority of it is good, but some of it is decent. I'd give this game 6/10.

It's not like NMS as that's more a sim with poor questing and randomised everything. It's more Fallout in a space setting.

If you lean more towards a sim than an adventure, maybe NMS or Elite are the better options.

Its "free" on Xbox Gamepass, if you are willing to pay for one month subsciption. You can try it there as long as you want without "wasting" the full price here on Steam. No worries about refund time etc...

Yes there is a learning curve. It gets more and more fun as you climb it. There’s a lot more to the game then you think at first. I still haven’t interacted with a lot of systems at 50 hours.

Story is weak, like most Bethesda games. Exploration is mostly fun. Combat is ok, AI is generally pretty stupid though. Ship combat and base building has potential. If you like exploring and picking things up, a hallmark of open world Bethesda games, you'll like Starfield.

If you're racist like a lot of kids in these forums, don't bother.

Very loadscreeny, very empty in places. It doesnt have much personality and doesnt feel very hand crafted. Also so far 10 hours in just fricking fetch quests.

The only decent quest i had was to stick a tracker on the top of a building which was fun to get up, but the building was empty and around was empty.

So yeah i would say the 7/10 is accurate, its not outstanding but not terrible just average.

I think if you read the reviews the people who like it are trudging through to find some fun, which is not how a game should be really. I got it for free and would have refunded if not.

I would say the exploration loses to nms, the environment looks good, the story and situation loses to fallout. It lacks heart and stuff.

If you like Bethesda games, it's another Bethesda game.

I don't feel it justifies a $70 price tag, but that's just my opinion. The planets are barren wastelands except for one structure, maybe a cave or two with sparse resources. Space doesn't feel like space, it feels like you're sitting in a static position and roll around. Quests are at least interesting and lots of fire fights, although get kind of same same after a while. Lots of dialog options. Lots of weapons and gear. It's a good game, just not great.
